Fast Pool is a self-service, non-custodial Stacking pool that allows users to earn Bitcoin-denominated rewards without needing to meet the 100,000 STX minimum required for solo Stacking.

Operated by long-time Stacks contributor Friedger Müffke and supported by community infrastructure, Fast Pool uses smart contracts to manage delegation and distribute rewards automatically.

Fast Pool has gone through several iterations—v1 and v2—each improving on reliability, user experience, and automation. All versions prioritize transparency and permissionless participation.

• Self-service: No custodians or centralized controls. The smart contract acts as the pool operator.
• Transparent rewards: BTC rewards are wrapped to xBTC and converted to STX, paid out proportionally within 2–3 days of each cycle.
• Cycle-based participation: Users lock their STX per cycle and can increase amounts or revoke participation anytime.
• No BTC address required: Rewards are paid in STX directly to your wallet.

How Fast Pool Works in Leather

Leather users can participate in Fast Pool delegation directly within the app. Once you choose Fast Pool as your delegatee, your STX is locked into the current cycle and tracked via Fast Pool’s smart contracts.
